School of Engineering - Department of Industrial Engineering

Overview

The Industrial Engineering department at The University of Jordan is dedicated to preparing students for impactful roles in both manufacturing and service industries. Much like industrial engineers, who encourage collaboration to enhance operational efficiency, our programs instill skills that empower graduates to address real-world challenges. Our Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, accredited by ABET, serves as a foundation. At the same time, our master's programs in Engineering Management, Design and Manufacturing, Maintenance Engineering, and Quality Management offer advanced expertise in efficient production systems.

Industrial engineers are renowned as "big picture" professionals, evaluating systems comprehensively to devise improvements. Our department echoes this approach, emphasizing multidisciplinary collaborations and real-world applications. With a legacy since 1986, we have graduated over 3100 industrial engineers, contributing to industries globally. Whether designing warehouses for optimal efficiency or enhancing workplace safety through ergonomics, our graduates are poised to excel in diverse fields, mirroring the versatility of industrial engineers in hospitals, banks, airline companies, and government agencies.
